Sony PVM-X2400 24" 4K HDR TRIMASTER High-Grade Picture Monitor bundled with PVML-HSX1 HDR-SDR Conversion License

The Sony PVM-X2400 is a 24-inch 4K HDR high-grade picture monitor designed to meet the demands of professional 4K and HD productions. With its premium LCD panel and advanced features, it provides accurate color reproduction, precise imaging, and consistent picture quality.

Key Features:

  • High-Quality Display: Featuring a Sony-specified premium LCD panel with 1000 cd/m² luminance, the PVM-X2400 offers outstanding brightness and color matching with the BVM-HX310 4K HDR master monitor, making it ideal for group monitoring in on-set, studio, and truck applications, as well as in 19" EIA racks for editing and audio mixing.
  • TRIMASTER Technology: Sony's TRIMASTER architecture ensures accurate color reproduction, precise imaging, and consistent picture quality. It includes advanced panel control and signal processing systems for fast processing and accurate color reproduction.
  • Multi-Monitor Setup: With V3.0 firmware, you can easily set up one unit of the PVM-X2400 and copy the configuration to multiple units of PVM-X3200, X2400, and X1800 via a USB memory stick, even when the screen sizes of the PVM-X series differ. It also supports software-based color temperature (white balance) calibration with the Monitor AutoWhiteAdjustment function.
  • HDR-SDR Conversion Support: The optional PVML-HSX1 HDR-SDR conversion license enables HDR-SDR conversion in live production environments, including 4K to HD down-conversion, color space conversion, OETF conversion, Progressive to Interlace conversion, and Quad-link 3G to Single-link 12G conversion. It also supports output to other 4K or HD monitors via the Enhanced Monitor Output, allowing local or remote monitoring of converted signals.
  • User 3D LUT Support: The V3.0 firmware and the optional PVML-HSX1 HDR-SDR conversion license support the output of signals with applied User 3D LUTs, enhancing workflows in live production, cinema, drama, commercial, music, and documentary production environments.
  • Dynamic Contrast Drive: The Dynamic Contrast Drive feature dynamically adjusts the panel's backlight luminance to adapt to changing content, providing a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. It ensures a balance of highlights and low lights, making it suitable for various content types.
  • Inputs: The PVM-X2400 provides 12G-SDI inputs and supports quad-link 3G-SDI and a single HD-SDI, along with HDMI connectivity, accommodating a wide range of signal formats.
  • Various Scopes: The monitor offers simultaneous waveform and vector scopes with scales for both HDR and SDR, allowing signal confirmation for input signal levels and output luminance. It also includes a color gamut scope with the V3.0 firmware.
  • Quad View Display: The PVM-X2400 provides a quad view display with individual settings for various parameters, including EOTF (SDR/HDR), color space, transfer matrix, color temperature, contrast, brightness, SDI/HDMI, RGB/YCBCR, and User 3D LUTs for each display view. Enhanced support for scopes is available with the V3.0 firmware.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The monitor's OSD has been significantly enhanced for faster and more intuitive operation, and a channel select button prevents inadvertent setting errors.
  • Studio and Editing Features: With V4.0 firmware, the monitor supports In Monitor Display (IMD) for source name and tally indications in studio and OB truck use. It reads TSL protocol and can be used in various display modes, including Quad View and Side by Side. Chroma up function is available for camera calibration, and parallel remote control simplifies monitor functions. Closed Captioning is supported over HD-SDI for editing and QC applications.
  • Field Operation: Designed for field use, the PVM-X2400 is lightweight, supports DC 24V operation, and includes handles for portability. An optional protection panel protects the LCD screen from shocks. It also offers false color and camera focus functions (with V3.0 firmware) to enhance field performance, along with a Grid display for subject layout checking with V4.0 firmware.
  • Mounting Options: Despite its large 24-inch screen size, the PVM-X2400 can be installed in a 19-inch EIA standard rack, mounted using a yoke, wall-mounted, or placed on a desktop arm, offering versatile mounting solutions.
  • Stereo Sound: The monitor incorporates stereo speakers (2W+2W) with audio muting for enhanced audio monitoring.
