One Card, Multiple Applications

With the SFC-6901, you can achieve fiber connectivity for various scenarios. The directionality of fiber transmission or reception is determined by the installed SFPs. The two SFP slots can be provisioned as needed to fulfill transmit, receive, and optical regeneration applications. You can use any combination of transmit, receive, or bi-directional SFPs on the same card, offering endless versatile configurations. An internal crosspoint connects the bi-directional HDBNC and optical ports, allowing for flexible port configurations, including inputs, outputs, loop-outs, and distribution.

The card's integrated 2SI gearbox enables the electrical multiplexing of up to four synchronous/homogeneous HD/3G signals over a single fiber/wavelength, helping you conserve fiber strands in fiber-limited environments and reduce costs when using leased fibers.
